Day 8 of the Visakha Music Academy 50th Annual Music and Dance Festival

The Day 8 program in the Golden Jubilee Year Festival was a grand violin concert by the #Lalgudi Duo.. Shri Lalgudi GJR Krishnan and Ms Lalgudi Vijaya Lakshmi, accompanied by Shri R Ramesh on #Mridangam and Shri Hari Babu on #Ghatam.
The concert combined melody and bhakti giving the audience a very pleasent and peaceful experience. The concert flowed just like a stream of water in slopes - but for the time issues, it looked as though it could continue forever. An interesting composition played was a piece that was composed by Saint Tyagaraja when he visited Artistes' ancestral home at Lalgudi. Here are some pictures from the program;
